  someone made reference in another post that the awake magazine had ceased publication.

  maybe i missed it since i have not been on here as much in the last 6 months.

  is this true?

  I remember the WT days when Tracts were used on special campaign offers. Seems to me that the Awake Magazine is going to take on the form of a Tract in future days...instead of getting rid of the Awake altogether...it's going to be demoted/relegated to Tract status.🤣🤣🤣

  DISFELLOWSHIPPING, How bad is it really?

  i found this experience on reddit today.

  disfellowshipping never really bothered me.

  i always thought it was just another way of getting rid of members that weren't welcome anymore.. but i've changed my mind.

  So telling that there are no little children

  watching in on my wife's zoom meeting last night, there was an item about discipline is love.

  they played a 'caleb' animated cartoon and then the instructions were 'if possible, ask selected young children' several questions.. it seems however, that there are no children in my wife's current congregation so the questions were all answered by retired brothers and sisters.

  the congregation mainly consists of elderly people (like us) and the few of childbearing age seem not interested in having children.

  Two things are certain..JW rank & file membership numbers will continue to drop & JW partakers' numbers will continue to climb...this outcome is the complete opposite of what the 8 clowns at the top of this cult hope for...Amen!

  "In 1879 when the faithful and discreet slave class began publishing this journal, then called Zion’s Watch Tower and Herald of Christ’s Presence, it contained the following statement: “‘Zion’s Watch Tower’ has, we believe, JEHOVAH for its backer, and while this is the case it will never beg nor petition men for support. When He who says: ‘All the gold and silver of the mountains are mine,’ fails to provide necessary funds, we will understand it to be time to suspend the publication.” (W Nov. 1, 2007 pg17)

  We all know that recently WT decided it was time to reduce the size, number of pages and how often its magazines (Watchtower and Awake) are published. Now with the absence of the Awake magazine for the past year in both paper and digital form is it possible that WT has 'understood it to be time to suspend the publication' of the Awake not only due to a lack of funds but more embarrassingly due to a lack of interest?

  active non-believer... go to meetings and field service to please family... living a double life .

  inactive believer...don't attend meetings but believe it's the truth, one day might go back to kingdom hall.

  6. Very content P.I.M.O. Very low hour publisher; believer in God. I'm a liability to this cult; my congregation would be better off without me; rarely attend zoom meetings...when I do attend I will sometimes turn camera on just to show full nicely trimmed beard; absolutely refuse repeated invitations to meet with meathead elders. You might ask: Why am I still in? Deep family ties & shunning threat!

  Wow!...The Awake magazine has apparently gone by way of Sears And Roebuck Department Stores and Montgomery Ward Department Stores...finally!

  Without so much as an announcement the WTBTS Society has buried one of its landmark publications...The Awake...is this true???
